As I peruse the internet for birthday party ideas for my little loves and showers for my fantabulous friends, I am simply amazed at the amount of talent that is "out there" in the world! I noticed that most of the blogs were from large cities here and there. I sort of felt like I needed to represent the small{ish} towns out there, like mine. Mostly because I am surrounded by a mega-talented group of friends! This blog is dedicated to all of them and to all of you. For the love of a sweet soiree!

Carnival Extraordinaire!

Ok, so I am a wee-bit biased about this party, but I don't think anyone could deny that it was top-notch style and fun! It was a joint 3rd birthday celebration for these two muffins {my nephew, Colton and my son's BFF, Creighton!} Their birthdays are about 6 weeks apart and they are best of friends, so their mommies decided to throw a double Carnival bash! Well, it paid off! Seriously, no detail went unnoticed! There was SO much color and every last thing was picture perfect. It was outside and I think the kids all had such a fun time playing the games and running around!

They rented a popcorn machine! I think big details like that are so fun! The popcorn machine alone sort of pulled the whole thought together! Most of the carnival supplies were purchased at Hobby Lobby! They will often have great themed party supplies that don't look cheesy and outdated. And look at the picture print-outs on the popcorn of the two buddies. To die for.
There was a mini rollercoaster that probably was the kids favorite part! Ok...it was the all of the dad's favorite part!
There were even little game stations set up for everyone to enjoy!!

The gift table was adorned with pictures of the two friends together. Of course, the pictures are always my favorite part of a good party. They are a must when it comes to making the whole thing personal!

This party truly was one of my favorites of all time. So well put together and even more importantly, it made you really feel like it WAS indeed a carnival! A crowd pleaser for sure! I TOLD YOU I had waaaay talented friends!

  3. Nic,
    So glad you got those pics and posted them :) It was such a fun party- even a few months post a new baby! I couldn't have done it without Kendra & I think the boys loved it!

    A few notes:
    Party planning with others {when you all end up inviting the same friends} is a plus for everyone! One big party only takes one night! Half the gathering and half the work. And double the families for the fun!

    I would have liked to take the plastic wrap off the cakes for the photos, but I was too tired to notice they were still protecting them from the flies.

    And the pictures are some of my favorite details too. However, I find myself printing the same ones for all three of his birthday parties to hang around the house somewhere. This year, I'm saving all of these and putting them in a box. For the 4th birthday, I'll just add 12 from the last year rather than printing all of them off again.

    Though planning specific games and going all out with the theme, it's true to say, the kids just want to run wild and free! So, find a few treasures and go with them. You can't and shouldn't do everything you find for your idea bank. {Though, that is VERY hard for me!}

    We do have the perfect party town! I can think of many, many other birthdays we've gone to in the last three years that should be on this blog!
